I Was So Mad!!!

We have been doing a fair amount of reading around here, how about you? Between school and watching too much TV, our family has been trying to add one creative thing a day. Sometimes we draw, or write letters, or play music. We wanted to do something else today, something funny, and fun that we could do together. A lot of people are recreating famous paintings or photographs in their homes and posting them on the internet... I thought it might be fun to do our favorite book covers instead! So my kids and I dug out some props and used our iPad camera to make a copy of the cover of one of my favorite childrens books: I Was So Mad by Mercer Mayer. Our copy isn't even close to perfect- we didn't have any frogs to use! But I think you can still tell what we're trying to do. Plus we laughed a lot! What do you think? Maybe you'd like to recreate one of your favorite books this way? Get a grownup or a sibling, your favorite book, some props, and do a photoshoot! You can also totally do this on your own, just be careful to prop your iPad camera up carefully so it doesn't fall off of anything!
