Wild, Wild 'Net!
So it's our 3rd week of Digital Learning, and we're all learning tons of tricks and tips on how to navigate our new "school." There's no doubt, technology can be frustrating. For every awesome game and tool, there are tons of updates, patches, glitches, and computer bugs! Even the best technology has it's issues, because even though its seem like they should "JUST WORK!" they are, for better or worse, created by human beings! And human beings make mistakes! And they learn new things, and things happen that change the situation, and, of course, sometimes things just break! So while we are using the internet in new and different ways now, let's keep in mind that behind all of these screens, apps, games, videos, and platforms there are REAL LIVE PEOPLE making it all happen. So we need patience. And a sense of humor. And, most importantly, we need to make good, safe decisions online. And, sometimes we just need to power down and head outside! So I'm attaching a list of video reminders about online safety, digital citizenship, and some reminders to take a break sometimes!!
