June 4th, 2020 Summer Reading Roundup!

SUMMER READING ROUND UP!

Summer is a great time for reading, and while this summer is shaping up to be different than most, you can count on libraries to keep things interesting!! This time of year at school we often host the librarians to tell you all about their programs. Obviously, we can't do that, so I'm going to send YOU to THEM! The libraries themselves may or may not be open, but the librarians are definitely working to make summer reading programs happen, even if they don't look the way we're used to.

Below are a list of links to the library websites and to information about their summer reading programs. I encourage you to take a look at each of the programs and get involved! As usual, you don't have to live in the city or town where the library is to participate! You can do any (or ALL!) of the programs!

Some of the libraries are starting to do curbside pickup for reserved books. All of them have access to free, online digital catalogs. Please visit the library's website to find out the information for each specific library.

While you're doing your summer reading, if you are going into grades 3-8, remember that the OBOB list is out and you can get a head start on reading through the list! Even if you're not sure you want to participate, it's a great place to look for book recommendations!
